I live out of town and had been experiencing a problem with the right upper molar for more than a year. At each six month exam, my dentist said the problem may be with my sinuses, because he couldn’t find any reason why I should be experiencing pain when biting down on something hard. He suggested I visit my physician, which I did. My physician prescribed an antibiotic twice, suggesting it may be a sinus infection. Each time some of the pain did leave. I also began to have sensitivity to hot, cold, and sweets. I wanted a second opinion. While I was in town visiting, I decided to go to my daughter‘s dentist for a review my situation and have my six month cleaning. They took all of the x-rays that were due annually. Dr. Sanyk reviewed the x-rays and talked with me, sharing with me a more detailed explanation of why I was having this issue. Dr. Sanyk devised a four-phase plan to help resolve my issue. Her office provided a breakdown of each phase and the cost. As of now phases 1, 2 and 3 have been completed with a much improved ability to chew on the right side. Unfortunately, if phase 4 has to be completed, it will need to be done at home since I will be leaving shortly. I thank Dr. Sanyk and her team at Smile Hilliard for such exceptional service and scheduling me in for the second opinion on such short notice.

easy appointment scheduling, nice front desk, billing is a little difficult if you don’t have a lot of money to spare, you have to pay the office directly, then insurance will reimburse you, which they are transparent about. I also thought i got a thorough exam, however, I was asked not to bring my toddler back, (which i’ve never had a problem with at any other dentist) at first it was because they had a time constraint and other patients, but then it was to give me a good experience and take care of me and she didn’t feel like she could work safely with a toddler around. It’s their right as an office but i just felt really awkward and tense for the rest of the visit. I cancelled my other kids appointments because it doesn’t fit my needs and it can’t fumble around the upfront billing with 2 other kids and I need an office that can accommodate families better, but other than that they really are a decent office. you would probably have a good experience.

Smile Hilliard was fantastic! The team is full of energy, they are very knowledgeable, and they take the time to hear your voice as a patient. The work flow was efficient, their technology was advanced, and they took several measurements I had never had before at my other dentist office. My hygienist, Brooke, knocked it out of the park and Dr. Sanyk was very insightful. I am personally recommending this business to friends and family and decided to leave a review online as well. I had the most thorough dental exam I've had in my life (at 47) - and I have gone to the dentist twice a year for my whole life! As a first time patient, everyone was kind, helpful, and, as previously stated, thorough. I have never had a dentist sit with me as long as Dr. Sanyk did and go through my x-rays/pictures. Fabulous! I will be a returning patient!
